Faces of Glenray: Meet Kristina

If you've enquired about Glenray's services or taken a tour of one of our sites over the past few months, chances are you've already met our friendly Intake Officer, Kristina.
While she's a new face at Glenray, Kristina brings almost five years of experience across the disability and aged care sectors, having worked as both a Disability Support Worker and Assistant in Nursing since she was just 15 years old. Her passion for helping people and supporting them to live as independently as possible has been at the heart of her career from the very beginning.
When the opportunity to join Glenray as an Intake Officer came along, Kristina knew it was the perfect next step.
"It gave me the chance to use my previous experience in a different way while still continuing to support participants and their families."
Now, Kristina is often one of the first people participants and their families meet as they begin their journey with Glenray, helping make the intake process as welcoming and stress-free as possible.
"What I enjoy most about my role is being able to support participants and families from the very beginning of their journey with Glenray. I love helping make the intake process as smooth and welcoming as possible, and knowing I've played a small part in connecting people with the support they need."

What's your favourite thing about working at Glenray?
"Being part of a supportive team and the shared commitment to making a positive difference in the community. It's a welcoming environment where everyone works together to help participants achieve their goals and connect them with the support they need, and I'm proud to be a part of that."
What's one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
"I love to travel! I've already visited more than six countries, and there are plenty more on my travel list."
What do you like to do when you're not at work?
"I love spending time with my family; I come from a very big family! I've also recently discovered that I enjoy camping... but only in summer because I can't handle the cold!"
