IGA donation to support people living with a disability

Glenray are grateful for the ongoing support of IGA Trinity Heights, as part of IGA’s Community Chest program, Glenray have been the recipient of a $1970 donation, enabling them to provide new equipment for their lifestyle and learning programs.

GA Trinity Heights has been a long-time supporter of Glenray and are keen to provide this extra assistance to help provide learning and capacity building opportunities for people living with a disability in our community. The Community Chest provides a percentage of sales for the period to the selected community organisation, and members of the community can contribute by shopping at IGA Trinity Heights.

Glenray is a local not for profit and relies heavily on community support to help them provide and maintain facilities, provide materials and equipment needed to deliver engaging and accessible lifestyle and learning programs for their participants. These programs such as cooking, gardening, woodwork, art & craft, provide engaging and accessible learning for people living with disability, as well as opportunities to build self-esteem and confidence through social interactions.

“The IGA Community Chest is a such a positive community initiative, and makes a huge difference for organisations such as ours” says Kath Graham, Glenray General Manager. “this donation goes directly to providing people living with disability opportunities to enhance their independence and enrich their lives through our support programs.”
